Privacy Policy

Introduction

The Wedding Experts OU and its affiliated companies respect the personal privacy of every user of the Website. This paragraph summarily states the information that the Company may gather and the way in which it may use it, as well as information concerning the actions which the user of the Website must take if he does not wish for the collection or further processing of his personal information during his visit to the Website.

Personal Data

1. The Wedding Experts OU or its affiliated companies may keep a File and process any data of users (e.g., name, address, telephone number or e-mail address) (hereinafter “personal data”), which comes to its knowledge through the Website and the services provided through it, only if these data are provided voluntarily by users. In this case, the Company may transfer the Personal Data to companies affiliated with it, where this is required for reasons of operational and computerized servicing of its transactional relationship with the user, or for statistical or historical reasons. Likewise, recipients of the File data for the promotion, support and execution of the transactional relationship between the Company and the user of the Website may be third parties who cooperate with the Company for the provision of the services related to the File, or the Company may (provided it does not receive a specific contrary instruction from the user) disclose the Personal Data of Users to third parties for the advertising promotion of the products of the Company or of businesses with which the Company has a partnership, for market research or other similar activity, and for the distance promotion of products of its own or of third parties. If a user of the Website does not wish the collection and possible keeping and processing of his Personal Data in accordance with the above, then he must avoid submitting them to the Company.

2. However, in the event that the user consents to the aforementioned collection, keeping and processing of his Personal Data in accordance with what is provided herein, then it is expressly noted that at any time he retains the right to be informed of or to object to the further processing of his Personal Data pursuant to Articles 11 and 13 of Law 2472/97 on the protection of personal data. For the exercise of this right of his, each user may contact the Company at the following e-mail address. Furthermore, where a user provides his Personal Data voluntarily, the Company may use this information, unless otherwise provided, in the following ways: a. storage and processing of this information for a better understanding of the needs of users and consumers in general and the way in which it is possible to further improve the products and services of the Company, b. possible use of this information by the Company (or by a performance assistant or a third party contracting on its behalf in connection with a promotional action) for future communication with users, c. possible provision to third parties contracting with the Company of aggregate – but not individual or personalized – information concerning the visitors or users of the Website.

3. In the event of direct disclosure by the user of the Website to third parties of his Personal Data, the Company bears no liability regarding the use by the said third parties of the Personal Data of that user. Therefore, it belongs exclusively to that user the responsibility to personally study the relevant terms of personal data protection, before he discloses his personal data to third parties through the internet or the Website.

4. Finally, the Company bears no liability in the event of disclosure, whether to the Company or to a third party, whether within the framework of the services or the Content of the Website, or voluntarily by some user, of the personal details of another person (indicatively, the full name, his e-mail address, his telephone number, etc.) without having previously obtained the consent of that person, which shall be done at the exclusive responsibility of the disclosing user.

5. Requests you submit through the Website, including your contact details, are shared with the professionals who unlock them. You can close your requests from Account Settings; once closed, no other professional can access them. You must close your open requests before asking us to close your account or delete your personal data. When we delete your data we remove it from our platform, but professionals who had already received your request before it was closed keep that information as independent data controllers.

Minors

1. The Company does not intend to gather any Personal Data from persons under the age of eighteen. Where this is appropriate, the Company will clearly inform minor children not to submit the said information to the Website and/or will take every reasonable action to ensure parental consent for the said submission.

2. Parents should be aware that the Confidentiality Policy of the Company governs the collection, keeping in a File and processing of Personal Data by it, but with regard to any information provided voluntarily by minors – or others – within the framework of electronic conversations (chat sessions), exchanges of e-mail messages (e-mails), through electronic bulletin boards or similar means, it may be used by others to send electronic messages that the minors do not wish to receive. The Company urges all parents to inform their minor children about the safe and responsible use of their Personal Data when they use the Internet.

Information or Data Collected Automatically

In certain cases, technical information that is not personally identifiable may be gathered automatically (e.g., not through registration) when a user visits or makes use of the Website. Examples of this type of information that may be collected are the type of Internet Browser used by the user, the type of operating system of the computer used by the user to visit the Website, and the domain name of the website used by the user in order to connect to the Website.

Cookies

Cookies are data files that are transferred from a web server to the computer of the person who visits the Site, for the purpose of keeping statistical data. Cookies constitute an industry standard, are used by most web sites and facilitate the repeated access of users to a particular web site and its use. Cookies are not harmful to your computer system or to your files, and only the web site from which a particular cookie was transferred to your computer has the ability to read, modify or delete it. If you do not wish information to be collected through cookies, you can use the settings that most web browsers have, with which you can delete the already existing cookies and choose either for future cookies to be automatically rejected, or to decide on the rejection or acceptance of each particular cookie on your computer. It must, however, be noted that the rejection of cookies may have as a consequence that it becomes more difficult or impossible to use certain parts of the site.”

Pixel Tags

On the Site, means such as the so-called “pixel tags”, “web beacons”, “clear GIFs” or similar means may be used. All of the above are collectively called “Pixel Tags” and aim at the collection of aggregate statistical data concerning the use of the Site and the speed of response. With Pixel Tags we can measure the number of users who visited specific pages of the Site, provide named services and determine the effectiveness that the promotional actions or the advertising campaigns had. When used in e-mail messages composed in HTML format, Pixel Tags offer the sender of the message the possibility to be informed about whether and when the message was opened by the recipient.”

Chat assistant (mAIrry Bot)

The website offers a chat assistant (mAIrry Bot) that answers using artificial intelligence. What you type in the conversation, and the options you tap, are stored so that the assistant can follow the conversation and so that our team can improve the service; authorised members of our team may read conversations for that purpose.

To produce its answers, the text of the conversation is passed to an AI model provider (Amazon Web Services, Amazon Bedrock service, on infrastructure within the European Union), which acts as a processor on our behalf and does not use conversation content to train models.

Conversations are deleted automatically up to 30 days after they expire, or up to 90 days if you created an account through the conversation, unless you ask for their deletion earlier. If you submit a request for offers through the conversation, that request is governed by the personal data section rather than by this paragraph.

The assistant can make mistakes; always confirm details with the professional. Do not type anything into the conversation that is not needed, such as payment details or sensitive personal data.

App for professionals (The Wedding Experts Business)

The Wedding Experts Business app (iOS and Android) is for professionals who have an account on The Wedding Experts. It processes the same account and listing data as the website (full name, email, mobile phone, listing details and photos, messages with customers, leads and quote requests), as described in the personal data section. The paragraphs below describe what is specific to the app.

Sign-in: You can sign in with email and password, with a Google account or, on iPhone, with Apple. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive from the provider only your name, email and an account identifier, in order to sign you in. If you choose to hide your email with Apple, we receive the relay address Apple creates.

Notifications: If you allow notifications, we store your device's notification identifier (push token) with your account, to tell you about new leads, quote requests, messages and your account. Notifications are sent through the Expo Push service (650 Industries, Inc., USA) and the notification services of Apple and Google, which the text of each notification passes through. The identifier is deleted when you sign out or turn notifications off on your device. You choose which notifications you receive in the app's Settings.

Location, camera and photos: The app asks for your location only when you tap "Use current location" to place your business's pin on the map; only the pin's position is stored, and it is shown on your listing. It uses the camera and your photos only when you add photos to your listing or collections. The map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap, which, like any website, receives your device's IP address.

Usage statistics and errors: To improve the app and find errors we use PostHog (PostHog Inc., with data stored on infrastructure in the European Union) as a processor on our behalf. It records the screens you open, actions such as unlocking a lead or sending a message (identifiers only, never their content), device details (model, operating system, app version), your IP address and the approximate location (city, country) derived from it, and error reports. This data is linked to your account identifier, not to your name or email.

For the same purpose the app records the screens while you use it (session replay). Recordings hide all text fields, images and any customer content (names, contact details, leads, quote requests and messages). Recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days and other usage data after 12 months at most.

The app contains no advertising, does not use the device's advertising identifier and does not track you across other apps or websites. No purchases are made in the app.

Account deletion: You can request deletion of your account in the app (Menu → Settings → Delete account), from Account Settings on the website, or by email to info@theweddingexperts.gr. Step-by-step instructions are on the "Deleting your account and data" page (theweddingexperts.gr/en/data-deletion).

Message assistant for professionals

Professionals with a subscription can use an assistant that suggests or improves the text of their messages to customers, using artificial intelligence. The professional reads, edits and sends the message themselves; nothing is sent automatically.

To produce a suggestion we pass: the published details of the professional's listing, the details of the customer's request (first name, type and date of the event, area, services, number of guests, description) and, for improvements, the professional's text and the latest messages of the conversation. The customer's surname, email and phone number are not passed.

The provider (Amazon Web Services, Amazon Bedrock service, on infrastructure within the European Union) acts as a processor on our behalf and does not use the content to train models. Texts produced by the assistant are deleted within 90 days of their creation.
