About us
The Wedding Experts is a Greek directory of wedding professionals. Couples use it to find photographers, venues, wedding planners, caterers and dozens of other specialities, send their enquiry and talk to them directly. We don't plan your wedding and we don't sell wedding services — we build the tool you use to find the people who do.
How we started
The first version of The Wedding Experts went live in 2017: a simple one-stop platform where couples requested offers from wedding professionals in one place, alongside a blog of wedding guides in Greek — bridal make-up, wedding shoes, island weddings, bachelor parties. The blog brought readers, but they kept asking for the next step: not another article, but the names of the people who actually do this work, and a way to reach them.
So we built the directory, and then we rebuilt it from scratch. The platform you're on now — search by category and area, enquiries and offers, messaging, reviews — went live in July 2026.
We're a small, independent team. We answer the messages ourselves and we approve the listings ourselves; there's no support department standing between you and us.
How a professional gets listed
Nothing goes live automatically. Every listing moves through the same four steps, in the same order.
Sign up and build the profile
The professional creates an account and fills in their profile: categories, the areas they cover, photos of their work, contact details. While it's at this stage the profile is a draft, and no visitor can see it.
Submit for review
On submission the profile enters our review queue. We check that it's a real business working in weddings, that the category and areas are right, and that the photos and copy don't breach our terms.
Approved or rejected
Only approved profiles appear in search. Rejected ones go back to the professional with the reason, so they can fix them and submit again.
Edits get reviewed too
A change to an already-published profile doesn't go straight live — it re-enters the queue. A profile that breaches the terms can be suspended at any point.
Part of the directory comes from an earlier archive of professionals of ours and isn't managed by the business itself yet. Those profiles are marked as unclaimed: they're reachable at their own link, but they don't appear in search results until the professional claims the profile and confirms their details.
How reviews work
Reviews can't be left anonymously. Whoever writes one has to verify both their email address and their mobile number first. Until they do, the review is visible to nobody — not to the professional, and not in our moderation queue.
Once verified, it's reviewed before it's published. A professional can dispute a review they believe is false: while the dispute is open the review is pulled from the profile and excluded from the star average, until it's either restored or removed. We don't take down negative reviews on request, and we don't charge to remove them.
How we make money
The platform is free for couples. We don't charge for searching, for sending an enquiry, or for contacting a professional.
Our revenue comes from professionals' subscriptions. A basic listing is free; paid plans buy more visibility and more tools for managing enquiries. We take no commission on your wedding: the agreement, the deposit and the payment are strictly between you and the professional, and we are not a party to them.
A subscription affects how prominently a profile is shown. It does not affect that profile's reviews, its star average, or whether it gets approved.
